Terms and Conditions

General

  • Each party is booked for a maximum of a two-hour period.
  • If you wish to extend the duration of a party you should contact Kids Play Land staff to discuss.
  • You and your guests are welcome to stay on in the general admission area after the two-hour period if you wish.
  • The area set aside for each party is equivalent to approx. one third of a netball court. There may be other parties happening on the same court at the same time.
  • Kids Play land will allocate additional space if the numbers of guests are large enough.
  • The Play Land area is only available for children up to and including the age of 5 years. Children over 5 years of age are strictly prohibited from this area
  • There is no limit on the number of children a parents/guardians attending the party.
  • All decorations you wish to provide must firstly be approved by our staff.
  • Each party must finish after 2 hours and be cleared within 15 minutes of completion.

Costs

Standard party

For a catered standard party there is an entry fee of $18.50 for each child under the age of 5, which includes unlimited entry to the Play Land area and catering by our cafe.

If you prefer to cater for the party yourself then the cost of admission for the children is $13.50 each.

All parents, guardians and children over 5 years of age enter free of charge.

Theme party

For a catered theme party there is an entry fee of $28.50 for each child under the age of 5, which includes unlimited entry to the Play Land area and catering by our cafe.

If you prefer to cater for the party yourself then the cost of admission for the children is $23.50 each.

All parents, guardians and children over 5 years of age enter free of charge.

Catering

  • Our café can cater for your party or you can bring your own food.
  • If we are catering, you should select the foods required for the children at the time of booking the party.
  • The café will serve the cold foods at the start of the party and the hot foods about 1 hour after the start.
  • The cafe cannot provide any cooking, heating or warming of any food that is brought to the party by you or your guests.
  • Under no circumstances are any food products containing nuts to be brought onto the premises.

Birthday cakes

  • Kids Play Land can provide a birthday cake for the event, either a standard cake or a themed cake.
  • The cake must be ordered at least 2 weeks prior to the party.
  • Any message or greeting on the cake must be clearly written on our Booking Form at the time of ordering the cake.
  • Kids Play Land will provide the ordered cake at the party.
  • No responsibility is taken by Kids Play Land for any errors made for any reason whatsoever in the preparation and supply of the cake.
  • If you prefer you can bring your own birthday cake to Kids Play Land.
  • If you do bring a birthday cake, the café can store it in our fridge if you require.

Entertainment

  • Kids Play Land can provide children’s entertainers such as a magician, fairy, princess, pirate, face painter, superhero, juggler or clown.
  • Booking the entertainer must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the birthday party.
  • The entertainer will perform for one hour, the 2nd hour of the party. They will conduct a range of activities and games, deliver, help cut and distribute the cake and distribute lolly bags and balloons at the end of the party.
  • Kids Play Land takes no responsibility for the attendance of the performer, nor the activities and games conducted by the entertainer.

Payment

  • All birthday party bookings will only be confirmed by payment of a $100 deposit.
  • An invoice for the balance of the cost of the party will be presented by the staff of Kids Play Land at the completion of the party.  
  • Final payment of the balance owing for the party must be made at the conclusion of the party.
  • Final payments can be made by either cash or cheque.

Cancellation

  • A cancellation fee of $50 applies if the party is cancelled more than14 days before the booked date.
  • A cancellation fee of $100 applies if the party is cancelled less than14 days before the booked date.
  • The cancellation fee will be deducted from the deposit paid when booking the party and the balance, if any, refunded by cheque.
